Nudestix: Everyday Makeup You Need to Try

Nudestix products with my son’s favourite ‘vroom vroom’ (as he would say)

When I think about my favourite brand for makeup I think of brands like Merit, Bobbi brown, and MAC. But if you actually look at my makeup collection, that may seem like a lie.

I don’t have as much products from one brand as I do of this one. You can guess from the title that the brand I’m talking about is Nudestix.

When Nudestix first launched I was so intrigued.  They came out with a philosophy I love – your skin, but better, done quickly. I fell in love with the colours and formulations they launched as you will tell from all the swatches!

I became such a blush girl while falling in love with their products.

The brand’s founders are a mother and her two daughters.  It’s so heartwarming to see a family start a business that has succeeded on such a large scale.

First off, let’s talk about the Nudestix eyeshadows!

Eyeshadow

I only have one shade of this stick eyeshadow in the shade Fig.  I was so surprised with this eyeshadow when I first used it.  It’s so long lasting and sets quickly.  They reminded me of the Bobbi Brown cream shadows and for the fraction of the price!

This particular shade is a matte that’s only slightly darker than my skin tone.  It makes a great base for other shadows, but can also be worn for everyday.

The only reason I don’t have more colours is because I own a lot of similar shades in different brands!

Lip and Cheek Pencils

I’ve only tried one shade here.

To preface, my lips are chronically dry so I usually tend to learn towards creamier finishes.  This was a bit drying for my liking.

I also don’t think I chose the right shade, but that’s on me.  The shade was gorgeous, but didn’t match my skin tone.

With the right lip liner it can work!  It is a gorgeous pink shade!

Highlight

I’ve tried two of their highlights and I would recommend both for medium deep skin tones!

The application is so easy and the highlight is so natural.

The formulation is a bit shimmery, but the shimmer is so fine so you don’t get those chunky glittery pieces.

You can definitely layer another highlight over this to intensify it.  I’ve done it once when I was feeling like being extra glowy on a sun shiny day!

I even got compliments on my glow as the sun hit my face.  Highly recommend!

Multi-use sticks (Blushes)

These are my fav blushes, by far!

The brush attached to the blush is a bonus, but I usually just use my fingers. They are so easy to blend!

The shades are gorgeous. You are guaranteed to find multiple shades that match any skin tone!

They look so natural when applied. Even the brightest shades will give you a natural vibe.

There are different formulationsmatte, dewy and a matte lux.

I’ll let the swatches of the colours speak for themselves!

Poppy Girl and Dolce Darlin’ are my favs!

I reached for Dolce Darlin’ a lot during the summer.

I love Poppy Girl because this colour on my lips and cheeks really make me feel alive and are a perfect summer shade when you’re feeling pretty!  It’s gorgeous on brown skin!

The one blush I’ve been meaning to try is Hot Fire, which came from a collaboration with Glamzilla, who’s also from Toronto.   Toronto Represent!

Last words

If you are someone who can’t be bothered with looking for the perfect products to complete an everyday look, you should definitely look into Nudestix

Their multi-use sticks are the star of their brand, but their eyeshadows are also swoon-worthy.  I can’t believe no-one is talking about them!
